A PROTEST AGAINST THE OPENING OF THE EAST END OF ABINGTON STREET TO TRAFFIC is to take place on Saturday 29 March around lunchtime. The protest will take the form of inviting people to leave a chalk message on the street. We are assured the messages will be water-soluble and wash away in the rain so I hope the day will be fine.

This foolish proposal is likely to cost Northamton ratepayers £3million up front and a further £3 million in interest. The consultation has been seriously flawed – see my previous posting for details which show three to one against the proposal totally ignored by the pig-headed Tory council.
