YOUNGSTERS play football in the multi games area in Victoria Park every Friday evening. At this time of year it’s not a problem, but once it gets darker it will be difficult for them to play without proper lights.

THERE are streetlights on the path all round the multi-use games area, but the lights are heavily shaded by the trees and don’t really light up the games area.
A Public consultation will be undertaken soon, then we have to try to find some funding. Please support this campaign by responding to the consultation when it comes out. As one resident said, it’s far better that the youngsters are on the pitch than hanging around the streets.
