Bovis Homes are proposing to built around 1,000 houses on the western part of East Hunsbury between the M1 motorway and Rowtree Road at the Towcester Road End. (See map showing proposals)

As proposal for the first phase of this is already with Northampton Borough Council.

Such a development would have a major impact on Towcester Road including major traffic problems at the Mereway roundabout and the flyover with the A45 which gives access to the M1. Both locations are heavily congested at peak times.
