PLANNING permission has been granted on converting the old toilet block in Hunsbury Hill Park into a café
Your local Lib-Dem Borough Councillors and some residents opposed this, but the decision was made by the Planning Committee, which is independent of all political parties.
The owner of the premises, Colin Ingle, is keen to work with local residents to make this a facility a benefit to the local community.
He is anxious to deal with silly scare stories that have been circulated by some residents.
“This is not going to be a transport cafe” says Colin.
“Despite malicious rumours, there will not a line of HGVs along Hunsbury Hill Road with truckers buying all day breakfasts.
“I’ve got nothing against truckers, but this café will be a place for walkers and families to enjoy a coffee and a light snack.</em
“People with children will be grateful that there is somewhere to stop off where there are toilet and changing facilities.”
